C-litter

On July 3rd, our C-litter from Ayla and Marley was born with a c-section. There are three puppies, three boys and three girls. Because both parent carry the pied gene, there are two pied puppies.

Their names are: Colin van de Love Boat, Charly Brown van de Love Boat, Chaz van de Love Boat, Caetlin van de Love Boat, Cali van de Love Boat and Candee van de Love Boat. All pups have found loving homes and Caetlin, the pied female will stay in our breeding program if she turns out to be suitable for breeding after her health tests. She lives with the Oudshoorn family in Wieringerwerf and is now called Cloé.

At the age of 7 weeks we took x-rays of the puppies’spines., because some of the puppies will hopefully be fit for breeding in the future and with the help of x-rays it’s possible to rule out some serious deformities. Luckily, all six puppies turned out to have a nice spine without any serious problems. Of course, their parents already have a good spine, but there are not only the parents who pass on their genes to their offspring.
